My english name is Weber Wu , I'd used it for two years. But my new english teacher suggested me to change it. She said that those two "W" is too close. so when you pronounce, it seems fun. So she gave me some beeter names to let me think about them. Such as Waylond Wu, Vincent Wu, Welton Wu, and so on.
Do you agree with her?

Weber sounds OK to me. But if you have to change it, I like the name Vicent better.

Oh, you don't have to change it. If a person doesn't have the right to have his name, what more can he has? Weber is a good name. It originated from a figure in an ancient Jewish story.

In fact, the pronunciations of W and V are not so hard to differentiate. W is very easy to pronunce. Then, V may be a little hard for you.

When you pronunce V, you need to first use your upper teeth to bite your lower lip, and then pronunce. That's it. Practice it several times, you will pronunce it perfectly.

I think you English teacher should have inspired you and taught you how to pronunce it and should have not required you to change your English name. That's ridiculous.

She is an Australian kind-heart lady, my chinese name is Wu Weibo, so I choose my english name Weber. She say my chinese name pronounces good. And she just give me suggestion and let me to make the decision. I also think Vincent is quiet good and I will use in her class. so maybe I can have two english name. until I have to choose only one then I will make the final decision.
