庄山位于电白县水东镇东39公里，电城镇北1公里处。海拔249.5米。山上秀石错落，古木参天。源于山巅的庄泉全长200多米。其间形成30余个大小不一的天然浴池，掩隐于石群之间，水清如镜。溪畔明清石刻如“临流观化”“海飞云立”、“涤尘”、“庄泉”等散布于石涧、峭壁之上。
　　据县志记载，山上的净土寺始建于明代。清代重修改名庄山寺。清光绪年间在山腰跨漳建有洗心亭。民国十四年（1925年）重修“庄山寺”‘碑和洗心亭，并增建云雨亭、大观亭，修筑上山石径，辟为庄山公园。文革期间，山上寺、亭均遭毁坏。仅存遗址陈迹。登临山巅，近览电城古镇全貌，远眺浩渺之南海。是电白县旧八景之冠――“庄山碧嶂”。素有“古、奇、美”之誉。有简易公路通电城镇。
　　庄山涧石嶙峋，大者如屋，次者如屏，小者如丸。中有巨石横卧，老树蟠虬而生，藤萝垂蔓。溪涧自山顶循石而下，或显或伏，淙淙作响，至树旁，争出石峡，其声尤喧，泉归树下，汇而为壑，清澈如镜。由于泉水清冽，夏日游人如织。
　　泉左侧，前人建有洗心亭。依亭仰视俯听，四山翠滴，轩槛泉声，终日绕砌鸣，水光山影，动摇衣袖，使人顿觉尘虑尽涤。由于亭临山泉，虚明清幽，春夏花木争妍，秋冬岩谷峭露，情态各异，更令游者情移意悦。
　　泉右侧，洗心亭西数十步，是著名的古刹山寺，旧称净土寺，明建，清光绪十七年重修。寺院巍峨宽敞，气宇轩昂。寺内花草满庭，四季争艳。上龛金身佛像，大小高矮，依次罗出，肃穆威严，下龛金身观音，盘莲静坐，端庄慈祥，可敬可亲。伫立寺外，依山望海，“廓外高峰对远潮，碧云终日挂山腰”，气象万千。寺前原竖有“海飞云出”四个大字碑刻，每个碑刻大字1.8平方米，俊逸遒劲，出自名人手笔，可惜毁为铺井之用。
　　山下，原有铁身韦华陀，手按长钅党，莞尔而立，像高齐人，神态飘逸，传说是海外飘浮而来，实属艺术珍品，可惜也被用来炼钢铁了。
　　民国年代，有人还在山下筑别墅，山上建大观亭，引山上泉水汇流成河，曲折回绕，花艇上落，增添不少雅趣。
　　电白庄山这一古迹名胜，历代官宦流题咏很多。明知府也镛题句：孤城负崇岗，碧嶂高千尺，藉此作金汤，永固同磐石。邑责生称迪贞诗云：崛沸危峰入望来，登临赢得晓云开。灵钟虎踞千寻势，翠积龙湫半壁堆。玉气常悬交地火，枕屏不起汉池灰。等闲种得幽满，结隐林中泛酒垒。
