为了建设将来，大角咀被拆得烂哄哄。
春田花花幼稚园又开学了！为了配合多元培育教学法，麦兜和一众小朋友除了学习两文三语外，还要学好耍赖、诈死、创意小便等等，一切都是为了美好的将来。为了安定的将来，麦太买保险买美金买很多很多条厕纸，还在樟木头给自己买了块风水山地，月供都不过一百九十九。
一切都为了将来。但是在过去，麦兜的父亲菠萝油王子，抛弃了现实的一切，去寻找他失去的王国，记忆里的一朵玫瑰……
