中华民族是多民族的统一体，五十六个民族都创造了辉煌的民族服饰文化。由于每个民族的生活环境、风俗习惯、宗教信仰、民族性格和审美情趣的差异，形成了各具特色的民族服饰文化。

阿昌族
阿昌族聚居于云南。男子穿对襟上衣，黑色长裤，未婚男子缠白色包头，已婚青壮年男子缠藏青色包头。

保安族
保安族居住在甘肃省内大河家地区。保安族男子，穿白布衫，外套青布坎肩，下穿深色长裤，头戴白或黑色圆顶帽，在节日里穿长袍。女子穿色彩艳丽的衣裤，上衣为刚过双膝的有花边的大襟袄，外套坎肩，戴头盖，也戴礼帽。

布朗族
布朗族分布在云南西部和西南部。布朗族男子上穿青布圆领长袖对襟或大襟衣，下着宽脚裤。妇女上着紧身短衫，下着筒裙，也有着长裤的。名地妇女均喜欢戴银饰。

布依族居住在我国西南地区的盘江、红水河流域。布依族男子常穿短衣长裤，盛装时着长衫，戴瓜皮帽。

朝鲜族
中国的朝鲜族是明末清初从朝鲜半岛移居东北形成的。其文化与朝鲜半岛有着深厚的渊源关系。朝鲜族男子的上衣为斜襟、宽袖，前襟有飘带，他们还喜欢穿“背褂”（坎肩）和灯笼裤，这种裤子很肥大，便于在炕上盘腿而坐。妇女多穿短衣长裙，上衣与男子相似，只是更加短小。

鄂温克族
鄂温克族世居于额尔古纳河以南的广阔地区，由于各地生存环境的差异，各地鄂温克人有着不同的服饰文化特点。鄂温克人对服饰的制作和穿着比较讲究，无论男女衣服，其衣边、衣领等处都用布或羔皮等镶边装饰。男子一般都要束上带，否则会被视为不礼貌行为；妇女平时可以不束腰带，但劳动时也要束上。鄂温克人喜爱蓝色的衣服。

珞巴族

满族
满族服饰高雅华丽，历史上曾对我国的服饰发展有过很大影响。满族服饰的基本式样为袍式、立领、窄袖、右开大襟、钉扣袢、两侧开叉。男子服装以长袍马褂为主，妇女衣装也以袍褂为主，褂有别于男装的短马褂，是与袍齐长的长褂。努尔哈赤推行八旗制度以后，满族人均在旗，故满族人所穿的袍服被称为“旗袍”。

蒙古族
蒙古族游牧在南起长城、北抵大漠、东达兴安岭、西越贺兰山的广袤大地上，形成了独具魅力的草原文化，其服饰也具有鲜明的民族特色。蒙古族男女老幼一年四季都穿长袍，俗称蒙古袍。春秋穿夹袍，夏季穿单袍，冬季穿皮袍、棉袍。男袍一般比较肥大，女袍则比较紧身，以显示出女子身材的苗条和健美。蒙古袍的特点是袖长而宽大，高领、右衽，多数地区下摆不开衩。袍子的边缘、袖口、领口多以绸缎花边，“盘肠”、“云卷” 图案或虎、豹、水獭、貂鼠等皮毛装饰。
